Assistant finance manager (full-time)

For our financial administration, we are currently seeking an experienced, proactive, and trustworthy Assistant Manager, for a minimum of 24 hours per week.

At a birthday party, you would say: "Van der Maarel specializes in Event Styling both domestically and internationally. We rent out decorations, plants, furniture, but most importantly: atmosphere. The whole package. We work on events such as the Dutch Grand Prix, NOC NSF Sportgala, and festivals like Tomorrowland. I work in a cozy, close-knit team. This is your job:

You'll share responsibility for the entire department. You ensure the complete and correct handling of accounting data and provide timely information to the Management. Based on this, strategic decisions are made.

Financial processing of accounts receivable and payable, Tax matters, advice and reports, and payroll administration: you're familiar with it and find joy in it. Additionally, you stay continuously updated on annual financial and fiscal changes, to keep all activities and outputs within the new legislation up to date.

 

Requirements:

• You have a completed HBO (Higher Vocational Education) degree in a financial field
• You have a passion for numbers and possess strategic thinking skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a financial co-responsible within the SME sector
• Experience with developing and analyzing strategic reports
• Advanced proficiency with the Office package
• Good command of the Dutch language in both speech and writing, English and German are a plus
• Experience with Exact, Synergy, and Atrea is a plus
